Healthcare Delivery

With the help of US doctors, MAII organizes a yearly health fair for the communities in northern Haiti. We hope to target the problem of malnutrition and improper healthcare in this region.

All the children we serve receive their annual health examination during this fair. Whenever we are able, we treat adult members of the community, as well.

Unfortunately, due to shortage of resources, we are not in a position to offer health examination to the whole community; we have the hard reality of turning away many people who come to us for help. Once our resources run out, we have no choice but to tell them that we are unable to treat them. We are constantly looking for help to broaden our healthcare delivery system at our yearly health fairs. MAII is also in the process of coming up with a modest, permanent medical center in Port-Margot as well as a small pharmacy.

Any type of help will be greatly appreciated in the pursuit of a better life for the less fortunate.

We are looking for volunteers to help us in these projects. If you would like to help either in the US or in Haiti, please contact us so that we can make your travel arrangements. We are currently looking for administrative, consulting, fundraising, and grant writing volunteers in our US office. MAII is currently in dire need of health professionals to help us fight against the many rampant diseases ravaging the Haitian communities. We are seeking the active assistance of doctors, nurses, teachers, construction workers, and any one who would like to be involved in our work.
