Orphanage Support Program PDF Print E-mail

In 2000, our organization recognized a very sad situation; homeless children were roaming the streets of Port-Margot. Most of them were abandoned and without parents. The media was full of reports focusing on child abuse, smuggling, and slavery.  In view of this situation, we knew we had to save children from the danger of the streets.

Driven by the necessity of protecting children's lives, MAII began by focusing on finding shelter for the children as quickly as possible. We saw a desperate need for an orphanage, so we did what we could with whatever little resources we had available in those days.

The Ministry felt that these children of the Lord must be protected from all types of evil in the streets. Our goal was to build and start an orphanage serving the five (5) communities that we were working with. Not only have we met that goal, but now we are planning projects to expand and reach more children who need homes.

Even children with parents need our help.  Some parents live with 7 to 10 children in one house with only a small bedroom. They are getting exposed to infections and diseases in the unsanitary conditions resulting from this limited space. Our medical team is currently working to provide treatment for these diseases and serve needy children both with and without families.

We are not only building orphanages or family houses; we are fulfilling dreams. With your active support, you can help us meet the goal of building a safe place for every abandoned child in the streets. Our current project is working to open a new orphanage that will serve 386 children living in inhumane conditions.  Your gifts or contributions will go a long way towards improving the quality of life for these needy children. Please give them the chance to live a safe and decent life.
